Saturn Sovereignty · The full account
Dissolve the lingering emotional and subconscious connections that bind you to people in your life: friends, family, romantic partners, colleagues. Release the weight they carry. Threads Unbound works with natural dissolution, accelerating the fading of connections that no longer serve you while actively dispersing harmful threads that diminish your freedom.
What this ritual is
Threads Unbound dissolves the lingering emotional and subconscious connections that bind you to people in your life. These threads form with anyone whose presence, words, impact, or emotional imprint continues to occupy mental and energetic space long after the relationship has changed or ended. You carry these threads to people you loved romantically, yes, but also to friends you have grown apart from, family members whose criticism shaped how you see yourself, colleagues whose presence still affects you, anyone whose emotional pull remains active in your subconscious. These threads are real, energetic bonds that don't automatically release when a relationship ends.
This distinction matters. Traditional cord cutting, as practised by other practitioners, implies permanent severance with no return; a hard break that closes the door completely. But traditional cord cutting cannot be applied to blood-bound relationships, which excludes a significant portion of people seeking release work. Threads Unbound is RosesAreDark's advanced form that addresses what other practitioners' cord cutting cannot. It is energetic work that goes behind and beyond, addressing the fundamental aspects beneath the cord itself. Threads Unbound works on all connections, whether blood-bound or otherwise, to release and ease what lies beneath. While blood and familial bonds cannot and should not be completely severed, Threads Unbound may be performed to remove or reduce the energetic influence of family-induced trauma, unhealthy attachments, inherited emotional patterns, and other harmful dynamics carried by the individual. The intention is not to erase the relationship, but to loosen the hold of what has caused harm so that healing, sovereignty, and healthier boundaries can emerge. Both services operate through fading and release over time; neither creates immediate permanent severance. The difference lies in scope and depth: traditional cord cutting addresses the act of cutting and excludes blood-bound connections; Threads Unbound addresses the deeper energetic work that supports comprehensive release across all connection types. If that person returns to your life in a new form or for a higher purpose, or if you choose to re-engage with them, you retain full freewill to do so. That choice rests entirely with you, not with the service itself. Threads Unbound does not restrict your agency or will; it simply releases you from the constant, unconscious pull that keeps you mentally returning to them, emotionally ruminating about them, energetically tangled with their presence. The thread fades over time until it is so faint that encountering them causes no internal disruption.
Release what no longer serves, and reclaim your energy from connections that diminish you.
Recognition
You carry these threads to anyone whose emotions, pain, words, needs, and impact on you continue to occupy mental and energetic space even though you no longer interact with them regularly or at all. A friend you had a falling out with years ago, and you still feel the sting. A family member whose criticism shaped how you see yourself, and you still hear their voice in moments of uncertainty. A romantic partner from long ago whose presence you sense in new relationships, making you question whether what you feel now is real or a shadow of what came before. A colleague who hurt you, and you feel tension when you encounter their name or see them mentioned. A person you loved who did not love you back, and part of you still waits for them, even though rationally you know it is over.
These threads linger in conversation you replay in your mind. They show up when you are stressed and your thoughts drift back to them without your choosing. They surface in new relationships as a measure against which you compare your current partner. They persist as a low hum of regret, wonder, or hurt that colours your days even when you are not consciously thinking about this person. You want to move forward, but part of your energy remains tangled with theirs. You carry more mental and emotional weight than you need to carry.
This is not a character flaw or weakness. It is not a sign that you are weak-willed or emotionally dependent. This is simply how human connection works. Intimacy and involvement create energetic bonds that do not automatically dissolve when the relationship ends. The more deeply you have connected, the more substantial the thread becomes. You are not broken because these threads linger. You are human. But you do not have to carry them forever.
The tradition
Saturn governs boundaries, limits, endings, severance, time, and the passage beyond. Saturn is the planet of hard truths and necessary conclusions. It rules what must end so that what needs to begin can unfold. Saturn does not do things halfway. Saturn governs all relationships equally, not because the planet cares who the person was or how the connection formed. Emotional attachment, subconscious thinking, and lingering impact operate the same way whether the person was a romantic partner, a best friend, a family member, a mentor, or a colleague. The thread may have formed through romance, through deep friendship, through family bonds, through professional collaboration, through spiritual connection, or through any other form of human involvement. The mechanism of fading works the same across all these contexts. Saturn's authority applies equally across the full spectrum of human connection.
What makes Saturn the right planetary current for Threads Unbound is precisely this quality. Saturn specialises in endings. It excels at severance and release. When you work with Saturn's current to dissolve a thread, you work with a force that knows how to let things go completely, how to mark the boundary, how to mark the boundary between what was and what comes next. Saturn does not force or coerce. Saturn facilitates natural dissolution. This is the quality you need when you want threads to fade, when you want the pull of past connections to release its hold on your present consciousness.
Planetary Current Only: Threads Unbound works exclusively with Saturn's planetary current, the force of boundaries, endings, and release. No demonic currents or workings are employed. This is a planetary practice, rooted in the movements and energies of Saturn itself.
The framework
At RosesAreDark, Luciferian philosophy centres on truth of oneself, personal sovereignty, the freedom to release what no longer serves, and responsibility for your own energetic space. This is the foundation upon which all work is built. You are the authority of your own life. You own your choices, your boundaries, your energetic state, and your right to shape your own reality. Luciferianism is not about darkness or harm. It is about the courage to know yourself fully and to claim your own power.
Threads Unbound sits squarely within this framework. It is worked to reclaim your energy from attachments that bind you, not to harm or curse anyone. It is a practice of boundary-setting and personal autonomy, not force applied to another person. The people whose threads you are dissolving are not harmed. They do not experience anything. You are not sending them anything hostile or invasive. You are simply releasing your own energetic hold on them and inviting the connection to fade from your side. You are managing your own space. You are exercising sovereignty over your own energy. This is entirely about you and your freedom.
You are asserting your right to be free from energetic entanglement, to release what diminishes you, to reclaim the mental and emotional space that belongs to you. This is a fundamental Luciferian principle: your energetic autonomy is sacred, and no one has the right to occupy your consciousness indefinitely.
Preparation
Threads Unbound works to dissolve lingering attachments and fade the threads that bind you to others. But if your astral body carries the accumulated weight of many old patterns or energies, the dissolution works more slowly and requires more effort to take hold. Think of it like trying to dust a surface that is already coated in grime. Your shield, your energetic protection, acts as a filter between you and chaotic or harmful external energies. If your shield has faded or been breached, your astral body accumulates static and noise that clouds the work. A clean energetic foundation means the fading happens more readily and completely. The threads dissolve faster. The process feels gentler. The release is more thorough.
A private 1 to 1 Astral Purge & Shield (APS Basic, Level 1) is recommended beforehand if it has been more than 12 months since your last private cleansing and you have not been maintaining your shield, or if you simply feel your protection shield has faded. This is a recommendation based on what tends to serve the working best, not a requirement. The choice remains yours. Some people come to Threads Unbound with a naturally strong shield or recent cleansing, and the ritual works beautifully without additional preparation. Others find that a prior cleansing makes the dissolution noticeably more effective. You know yourself best.
The current
Saturn's work is ancient. In Western magickal tradition, Saturn governs time, limitations, endings, and the passage from one state to another. Saturn teaches that all things have a season, and when a season ends, release allows the next to begin. This is not cruel. This is natural. Threads Unbound draws on this Saturnian tradition of conscious, complete release. When you work with Saturn, you work with a force that understands the necessity of endings and the liberation that comes with them.
The specific quality this rite calls upon is Saturn's authority over boundaries, endings, and the natural dissolution of time. Where Saturn works, fading accelerates and releases deepen. Your connection to that person no longer pulls at your consciousness, freeing you to move forward. This allows you to move forward not merely hoping the thread will fade, but knowing that you have engaged a force specifically designed to facilitate the ending you seek. Like all services, Threads Unbound respects freewill: if you choose to re-engage with that person at any point, the cord can re-establish through your own choice and action. That is your agency, not a limitation of the work. The ritual simply reclaims your energy from the constant, unconscious pull.
What this is for
Threads Unbound dissolves the lingering emotional and subconscious connections that occupy your mental and energetic space long after a relationship has changed or ended. The ritual works specifically on the threads that linger: the connections you think about randomly, the people whose presence you sense in moments of vulnerability, the relationships whose emotional residue still shapes your choices and your sense of self. It accelerates the natural fading process and works actively to disperse threads that are actively harmful or diminishing. The outcome is that your energy belongs to you again. Your consciousness is your own. You are free from the constant, unconscious pull of connections that no longer serve you.
The threads you are dissolving do not carry back to the other person. You are not sending them anything. You are managing your own energetic space and reclaiming the mental and emotional real estate that belongs to you.
Before the working
The cleansing work we discussed prepares your energetic foundation. The preparatory work you do is internal and psychological. You do not need to provide names or identifying information before you book, but you will benefit from being clear about which connections you want to address. Are you working with a specific person whose thread is particularly heavy? Are you working with unnamed threads, collectively releasing all the lingering connections that occupy your space? Are there particular people whose threads have been haunting you longer, or are you addressing a general sense of being tangled with too many people at once?
This clarity is recommended, not required. The ritual works powerfully whether you come in with a specific list of names and faces or with a general intention to dissolve whatever threads have lingered too long. But many people find that spending a few minutes beforehand noticing which connections still carry weight for them helps the dissolution work more directly and completely. The choice about how specific to be remains yours.
The process
Threads Unbound is conducted during Saturn Hour, the time of day when Saturn's force is strongest. Saturn Hour varies based on your location and the current date; you will receive the specific timing for your working once you book. You provide either the person's or people's names, birth dates, and identifying information so that the work can be focused on specific connections, or you work collectively with unnamed threads, releasing all the lingering connections that occupy your space without serving you. You do not need to attend the working or perform any ritual yourself. The dissolution happens on your behalf.
The ritual uses black cord (representing the bond you carry), white candle (representing you), and talismans that anchor the dissolution in your energetic body. These are worked with by Phoebe during Saturn Hour to accelerate the fading of the threads you have named or collectively released. Once the working is complete, you will receive confirmation and guidance on what to expect as the dissolution unfolds over the following weeks and months. The threads do not disappear instantly. They fade gradually and naturally, as if time and distance have finally been allowed to do their natural work.
What changes
The outcome is that the thread fades. You stop thinking about this person randomly without your choosing. When you do encounter them or their name, there is no internal jolt or emotional disturbance. Your energy is no longer unconsciously pulled towards them. You begin to release the mental stories you have carried about them, about the relationship, about what you should have done differently. The constant low-level awareness of their presence in your consciousness simply quiets.
Over time (weeks or months, depending on the strength of the connection), the person fades from your active consciousness. This fading is gentle, natural, and aligned with how life actually moves forward. You do not hate them or cut them off. You simply release them. The thread becomes so faint that it no longer affects you. When you think of them (if you think of them at all), there is no longer emotional charge. The memory is just a memory. The connection no longer occupies your energy.
As your energy becomes untangled from old connections, that freed energy becomes available for new relationships. New partnerships benefit because part of your emotional availability is no longer bound to someone else. Friendships can transform naturally because you are not holding onto old dynamics. Family relationships shift because you have released the emotional weight of old words or old patterns. You are no longer carrying multiple people inside your consciousness simultaneously.
Healing is not achieved through ritual alone. Lasting transformation is supported when the individual consciously aligns their thoughts, decisions, behaviours and actions with the intention of release.
Distinction
Threads Unbound is distinct from Veil of Selene, which supports inner wisdom and emotional clarity through spiritual attunement rather than releasing attachments. Veil of Selene is about deepening your access to your intuitive knowing. Threads Unbound is about freeing your consciousness from lingering presence of others. They are complementary but different. If you are struggling with intuitive clarity, choose Veil of Selene. If you are struggling with the weight of people you cannot stop thinking about, choose Threads Unbound.
Threads Unbound is distinct from Venus Love, which opens new relational connection rather than dissolving old ones. Venus opens the heart. Threads dissolves what was. If you are wanting to attract new partnership or deepen existing intimacy, choose Venus Love. If you are carrying threads from past relationships that are blocking new connection or robbing your current relationships of energy, choose Threads Unbound first. It is distinct from Mercury Communication, which strengthens how you express yourself rather than releasing energetic bonds. Mercury is about words landing clearly. Threads is about energy releasing completely. These serve different purposes. Choose Mercury Communication if your issue is being heard. Choose Threads Unbound if your issue is being entangled.
Before you choose
Planetary Practice Only: RosesAreDark is a Luciferian witch who practises exclusively with planetary currents. Threads Unbound uses Saturn's planetary energy only. No demonic workings, entities, or currents are involved. This ritual operates within planetary magick and does not cross into demonology or other esoteric systems.
Note on Astral Purge & Shield Prerequisites: Threads Unbound is offered in two formats with different APS requirements. For Threads Unbound (Individual) and Threads Unbound (Collective), both remote and non-participative mass rituals, an Astral Purge & Shield (APS Basic, Level 1) within the past 12 months is recommended. If you have never had an APS session, the work can still proceed, but a prior cleansing is recommended to prevent energetic backfire and ensure the dissolution work takes full effect. For Threads Unbound (Private Zoom), a live and participative session where you work directly with Phoebe on one cord at a time, an APS Basic, Level 1 session within the past six months is required. The private format demands more active energetic engagement, resulting in faster efficacy and accelerated fading. Current shield maintenance is essential for this intensity. If your last APS session was more than six months ago, please schedule a refresher cleansing before your Private Zoom session. Contact Phoebe to discuss which format and prerequisite applies to your situation.
If you don't
The threads remain active. You continue to carry the subconscious presence of these people in your life indefinitely. Years pass, and you still think of them. Sometimes randomly. Sometimes when you are stressed. Sometimes when you are in new relationships and they surface as comparison or regret. You cannot stop thinking about them because the energetic bond keeps pulling your attention back to them. You relive conversations. You wonder what might have been. You replay moments you wish had gone differently.
Your mental and emotional energy remains partially bound to connections that are no longer nourishing you. You find yourself ruminating about old relationships, replaying conversations, wondering what might have been. When you encounter these people, even accidentally through social media or mutual friends, you feel the old emotions surface: hurt, longing, anger, regret, shame. These emotional reactions catch you off guard and derail your day. New relationships suffer because part of your emotional availability is still tangled with old ones. Your partner or friend senses that part of you is elsewhere. Friendships fade slower than they should because you are holding onto the old dynamic rather than allowing it to transform naturally. Family dynamics stay stuck because you have not released the impact of old words or old patterns.
You carry more mental and emotional weight than necessary, and this heaviness affects your sense of freedom and your capacity for new connection. Bad connections that harmed you remain energetically present, continuing to influence your choices, your self-perception, and your boundaries without your conscious awareness. Years pass with these threads still active. You move forward in some ways, but you never feel fully free. Part of you is always looking back.
The decision
Neither option is more or less serious than the other. The difference is factual: whether you are working with specific people you name, or releasing threads broadly without naming individuals. Choose based on what feels clear and true for your situation. Both approaches work powerfully.
Questions & context
The fading happens gradually and naturally over weeks or months, depending on the strength of the connection. Some people notice shifts within days; others notice them over several months. The thread does not disappear overnight. It fades the way time naturally causes distance between people. You may notice you think about them less randomly, or that when you do think of them, there is no emotional charge. The fading is progressive and gentle.
Yes. You can provide multiple names and identifying information, or you can work collectively with unnamed threads. If you have several people whose threads are particularly heavy, you can focus on those. If you carry many threads and want general release, you can work with the collective option and address all of them at once without naming individuals.
If you are working with the individual cord option, provide the identifying information you have. If you know only their first name or a nickname, that can be enough. The ritual can also work with description or identifying details. If you are uncertain or do not know enough to identify them clearly, the collective cord option may be more appropriate for your situation.
No. You are not sending anything to the other person. You are releasing your own energetic hold on them. The thread exists in your consciousness and your energy, not in theirs. You are managing your own space and reclaiming your energy. The ritual causes no harm to anyone.
Threads Unbound works regardless of whether the person is still living. You may carry threads to people who have passed, and those threads can be dissolved just as you would dissolve threads to living people. The ritual addresses the connection in your consciousness and energy, which persists whether or not the person is still alive.
Yes, if necessary. Some threads are very strong and may benefit from additional work. However, most people find that one working is sufficient and the thread fades naturally over time. If after several months you still feel a strong pull to a particular person, you can book another working. But start with one and see how the fading progresses before booking again.
No. The ritual happens in your energetic space and consciousness. You are not sending anything to them or working on them. They will not feel or know that you have dissolved the thread. This is private work on your own energy.
Some people feel guilty about releasing threads, as if they are betraying the person or the relationship. Remember: dissolving a thread does not erase the relationship or the value it had. It does not mean you do not care about them. It means you are releasing the constant, unconscious pull of their presence in your mind. You are allowing both of you to move forward. The release is about your freedom, not about the relationship itself.
Yes. If you book the ritual and then change your mind before the working is conducted, contact Phoebe to discuss. The choice is yours, and your wellbeing is the priority.
